studio update, next sunday evening

I have been having a lot of fun with small 12x12 inch paintings this week. It is a great way to work quickly, and experiment with some different layering techniquesas well as color combinations.
Since I am getting ready to do several shows... I need to finish about 6 paintings that are in progress, but have gotten sidetracked with these little works.
All of the square images are from the last week. All are roughly 12x12, liquid acrylic and mixed media on wood. The longer piece is almost finished, I am still struggling with the cat.

i thinks cats were made to be struggled with, Beth - they are so willful.

How did moggy turn out? And please show something of the exhibition you are preparing for.

and i've been looking further at the figures above the cat. These are haunting images, especially the semi-revealed semi-concealed figures in the background. And the choice of colour - the swathe of grey. It's as if they were paintings of memories that are semi-bidden.
