A bit of a new direction, I was uncomfortable with the figure in the back, but kept at it and changed it into a cat like being. Much happier with that decision... hoping to finish it up this weekend.

Flute player revisited

I originally finished this painting early last fall. I wasn't satisfied with it for several reasons, the flute player, background and central figure were all problematic in the original version. While gathering paintings for an upcoming show I decided to go back into this painting. I am so glad that I did, much happier with the result in this version.

Helpless, 24x24 acrylic and mixed media on wood panel. Couple with egg, 24x30 acrylic on wood panel. Both of these paintings are still in process, I changed the animal in the egg couple painting yesterday and am not totally sure of it. Originally it looked more like a fox... don't know where it is heading.
